
Five days of activities begin early Tuesday morning at the St. Albert Inn when City TV kicks off Rock'n August with the Breakfast Television. Many of the classics that will be competing in Saturday's Show'n Shine competition will be at this event. Each evening until Friday Night's Cruise and Street Dance, a different location in St. Albert hosts an evening of car displays, community barbecues and musical entertainment. Friday night, the streets of St. Albert are packed with thousands of eager spectators viewing the 400 plus classic cars as they parade past City Hall. The party continues as the stage is filled with some of the best musical entertainment of the year. Lions Park in St. Albert is home to the much anticipated Show'n Shine that starts early on Saturday morning. The cars are parked and polished one more time awaiting the decision on who will walk away with the 2010 trophies and bragging rights to "Best in Show". Between 15,000 and 18,000 people attend the Show'n Shine that has something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
Tuesday Morning August 3rd, 7-9AM: The St. Albert Inn and staff have supported Rock'n August with a free Pancake breakfast since 1998 to kick off our week long fundraiser in support of Diabetes Research. City TV has also teamed up with Rock'n August to bring their breakfast show to the St. Albert Inn. The show broadcasts live and gives everyone a taste of the fun to come during this week of events.
Tuesday Evening August 3rd, 6-10PM: Tuesday night brings fun and excitement to the parking lot of the Gold Dust Casino. The Casino has become the favorite spot for the cars to gather every Tuesday night from the beginning of July until the end of august. Rock N August week brings out over 500 vintage cars to St. Albert and Tuesday night at the Casino always is a great time with fun prizes and music of the fifties and sixties.

Wednesday Evening August 4th, 6-9PM: Come one come all to the Gateway Village Plaza for the best Car Roadeo this side of Texas. This event is sponsored by your A&W and Tim Horton's restaurants. A rally course is setup in the parking lot of the Plaza to test the driver’s skills and accuracy in a series of drills. This event encourages anyone to compete for prizes and the bragging rights of the night. Starting new this year we will also have a Poker Run hosted by the Alberta Mustang Owners Association & the Northern Alberta Corvette Owners Club. The Poker Run Starts at 7:00PM, and you can register for the Poker Run at the Rock’n August Information tent starting at 6:00PM. The cost is $10 per player.
Thursday Morning August 5th, 7-10AM: New to this year CIBC- North has invited us all out Thursday morning for a free Pancake Breakfast in support of Rock’n August. Everyone is welcome whether your car is a classic now, or a classic of the future.

Thursday Evening August 5th, 6-9PM: Todd and Liz have been a sponsor of Rock'n August since year one. They turn their Fountain Tire store on St. Albert Trail into a mini show and shine for this evening. They also use this evening to thank their customers for their business throughout the year and showcase their state of the art facility. Anyone that has participated in this event in the past knows this evening is packed with fun and entertainment for all ages.
Thursday August 5th 10PM-12AM-Gates Open At 8:00PM: "Night at the Drive-In" A returning family event thanks to four sponsorships of DKC Sparklean Group, Servus Credit Union Place and Servus Credit Union. They have teamed up to host the second annual Rock'n August "Night at the Drive-In". We’re bringing in a huge blow up screen over 3 stories high with radio broadcast sound and will be set up at the Servus Place west parking lot for a drive-in showing of the classic, American Graffiti! A donation to ADF of $10.00 per car is your ticket in to what promises to be a huge addition to RNA. Hotdogs, popcorn and pop will be available. To ensure a whole new generation will be able to experience the drive-in as it used to be.
Friday Afternoon August 6th, 12-6PM: Friday starts out with a registration booth at The Gold Dust Casino. All car owners have an opportunity to register their car for the Friday Night Cruise & the Saturday show and shine.
Friday Afternoon August 6th, 12-6:30PM: Once registered for the Friday Night Cruise you can stage at our starting point in the South Parking lot of the Gold Dust Casino. The Gold Dust Casino is a presenting sponsor of Rock'n August and supplies a large portion of their parking lot to stage the Friday night cruise to downtown St. Albert where up to 15,000 St. Albert and area residents view the street dance of the fifties and sixties style entertainment. As our event has become larger over the years we have started to ask that any cars looking to participate in the cruise, please register beforehand so that we know how many cars we need to accommodate at the end of the cruise. Please note that due to parking restraints, in order to park downtown for the street dance, YOU MUST BE PART OF THE CRUISE, there will be no parking at the Street Dance available before the cruise arrives.
Friday Evening August 6th, 8-11PM: The Friday night street dance in downtown St. Albert is sponsored by The St. Albert Chamber of Commerce, Standard General. Friday nights entertainment will be "The Classics" and the "Original Kit Kats". Free park & ride has been sponsored by the City of St. Albert - Park & Ride Map
Saturday August 7th, 10AM-3PM: In the setting of Lions Park, the Show and Shine has become one of the major events of Western Canada. Without the full cooperation of the city of St. Albert and its staff this event would not happen. Over the last number of years Rock'n August has partnered with many service groups and sponsors to make our event a successful car show and a major fundraiser for the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
Saturday August 7th, 6:00pm-Close: A Dinner, Dance and Silent Auction will wrap up the week of events. The theme for the night will be dress in your best 50's or 60's clothing or just come as you are for all the fun that you can remember of these fun and simple days. Saturday nights entertainment will be "The Larados". Tickets for this night will be $50 & will be on sale at the St. Albert Chamber of Commerce & available from the Rock’n August Information tents at the St. Albert Farmers Market starting July 17th, and the information tent at the Gold Dust Casino "Classic Car Tuesday’s".
