Rock'n August, one of the largest celebrations of classic cars and music in Western Canada.

Volunteer with RNA

There are a number of opportunities to volunteer with Rock ‘N August.  Whether it is a one time event that you would like to help with or a longer commitment with the organization, there are opportunities that are right for you!

Introduction:  These are short term, ‘day of event’ volunteer opportunities.

Father’s Day Soapbox Derby – Track Set Up, Safety Crew, Cart Loading/Unloading, Finish Line Team etc.
Rock ‘N August Show & Shine – Button Sales, Site Maintenance, Information Desk, Site Preparation, Traffic Sign Placement etc.

Introduction:  These are longer term commitments.

Committee involvement requires generally one meeting a month with the committee throughout the year and completion of assigned tasks where needed with a more frequent meeting schedule as we move closer to the event.  The committee chair attends the monthly Rock ‘N August Board Meeting to present the work of the committee.

Event Food & Product Vendor Coordination – 
Communicating with Food and Product Vendors and booking for Rock ‘N August Week Events.  On site oversight at load in to ensure everything works smoothly.  Troubleshoot on the spot issues.

Sponsorship Committee –
Working with the various committees, assist with the review and development of sponsorship levels and selling of packages to committee businesses.

Marketing/Promotions Committee – 
Responsible for the development of media plans around each of the Rock ‘N August endeavors.  May include print, radio, tv etc.

Button / Ticket Sales Committee 
Responsible for the Button Program used during RNA Week.  Help in the planning of ticket sales for various promotions throughout the year.

Registration Committee 
Responsible for the oversight and delivery, through third party vendors, of the registration for the Annual Rock ‘N August Show and Shine.

Social Media Committee
Responsible for the enhancement of Rock ‘N August exposure through The Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other such media.

Annual ADF Classic Car for a Cure Lottery Committee – 
Responsible for the oversight of the Lottery Program.

Annual Father’s Day Soapbox Derby Committee
Responsible for the development and oversight of the event.
